Thanaa's Second Parents

Story
Rashaad & Rizwanah have been apart of Thanaa life since she was born. The two of them have been the one’s who did the initial work of setting up Thanaa appointments when we first suspected that Thanaa had a problem with her hearing.

Ever since then Rashaad & Rizwanah have been the support and back bone to myself & Shreen. I think it was a two way thing as Rashaad and Rizwanah officially hold the status of “SECOND PARENTS” and as much as we needed the support, they were just as devastated as we were and we needed to turn to each other for support.

Many a discussion were taken between us on what options were the best for Thanaa and ultimately a collective decision of going for cochlear implant surgery was decided upon.

Not only did they support us, but they have taken our kids into their home, fed them, bath them, entertain them, disciplined them and love them with all of their hearts. They have played the role as a parent would perform if not have done it better than us.

We know that when our kids are in their care that they will be treated with lots of love, yet be firm with them if they step out of line. Thanaa has so much of love for Rashaad & Rizwanah that the only time we know that she is going to sleep is when she lays in bed and repeats the names of “WANA & MAMOO” atleast 20 times, I kid you not…LOL

Our Gratitude
No words or gifts will ever be able to express our gratitude to you for the role that you guys have played in the lives of both Thanaa & Asma but I am going to give it a try.

Thank you for being the amazing individuals that you are, your wonderful personalities, big hearts, humor, love & support has had such a positive impact in our lives. We are humbled by the manor of which you care for our kids & us and we pray and hope that the day you are blessed with kids of your own, we will be there to give back to your kids like you have given to ours.

On behalf of ourselves & our kids, please make us maaf if we have ever hurt your feelings, insulted or embarrassed you in this time that we spent together, we would like to take this opportunity to apologize and ask for maaf.

Please know that in our hearts we will always cherish all that you have done for us and once again a BIG BIG THANK YOU for all you wonderful efforts in making our lives so much more easier.
